Peter A. LaFleur Sr.1951-2014SPRINGFIELD- On Saturday July 12, 2014, Peter A. LaFleur Sr., 63, peacefully passed away at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on February 27, 1951 the son of the late Lawrence and Alice (Fiedler) LaFleur. Peter graduated from Springfield Trade High School. After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Peter worked at Westover Air Force Base for 35 years. He was an active member of the East Longmeadow Dog Training Club for 39 years. Peter loved training his dogs which will miss him. He also enjoyed helping That Newfoundland Place dog rescue. Peter leaves his loving wife of 41 years, Jeanne E. (Ledoux) LaFleur; a son, Peter A. LaFleur Jr., a daughter, Monique O. Pafumi; three grandchildren, Mark and Auriana Lapierre, and Natayla Pafumi; two sisters, Peggy Menard and her husband Jack, and Linda Odabashian and her husband Ed; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18th at 11:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St. Springfield. Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
