Adrienne Ida Morin

November 9, 1927 — February 22, 2018

INDIAN ORCHARD - Adrienne Ida Morin, 90, formerly of Beauregard St. in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Thursday February 22, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  Adrienne was born in Moosup, Ct. on November 9, 1927 a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Nadeau) Fontaine. She moved to Springfield in her youth with her family, attending St. Aloysius Catholic School in the Orchard and graduating from Trade High School in Springfield. She worked as a Bookbinder for Hunting's Bindery in Chicopee for 10 years and had previously worked as a sewer for Latrique Women's Apparel in Ludlow for 20 years. She was a devoted communicant of the former St. Aloysius Church, later named St. Jude's Church in the Orchard and was presently a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Springfield. While at St. Aloysius, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Her beloved husband of 50 years, Paul L. Morin passed away in 1998. She leaves her daughter; Simone L. Morin of Springfield. Her son; David P. Morin and his wife Gail of Chicopee and her dear sister, Lillian Therrien of Clermont, Fla. Adrienne leaves her brother in law, Albert Morin of Agawam and sister in law, Beverly Fontaine of West Yarmouth and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by Frederick and Norman Fontaine and Lorraine Lemieux, her siblings. There are no calling hours. The family invites you to join them on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. directly at St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Avenue, Indian Orchard where Fr. Mark Glover, pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish will offer the Catholic Rites of Committal for Adrienne. (Please arrive promptly by 10:45 a.m.). Donations in Adrienne's memory if one prefers may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.  The family has entrusted Adrienne's care and services with the Ratell Funeral Home, Indian Orchard.
