Althea Loretta Vermette

Althea L. Vermette 1933 - 2010 HOLYOKE - Althea Loretta ( Bonneville) Vermette, 76, of Holyoke entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2010.  Born in Springfield she was a long time resident of Indian Orchard, before moving to Holyoke.  Althea was the daughter of the late Alfred and Zephirina (Goulet) Bonneville.  A retired housekeeper, Althea was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish at St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow.  Althea was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Vermette in 1999 and by her son Rene Vermette in 2003. She leaves her son David Vermette of Tallahassee, FL; four daughters, Aleta Costa, Rosanne Duffy, Renee Ruiz all of Panama City, FL, Pauline Hackett of Holyoke; a sister, Blanche Mackie of Ludlow; (16) grandchildren and (15) great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, June 25, 2010 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Parish at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.  A calling hour will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home beginning at 8:30 a.m., until the time of service.
