INDIAN ORCHARD-Anita A. (LaPierre) Barry, 88 of Wilton Street in the Pine Point section of Springfield passed away peacefully on Monday evening at Mercy Hospital with her family at her side. Anita was born in Ludlow on May 21, 1930 the daughter of the late J. Emery and Anita (Morin) LaPierre. She was raised and educated in Indian Orchard and attended local schools. Anita worked for many years for Liberty Bakery. She was also a homemaker who loved doting on her family and enjoyed the daily crossword puzzles. Her husband, Donald W. Barry predeceased her. She leaves her children; Thomas and his wife Christine of Easthampton, Richard Barry of Springfield, Elizabeth "Liz" Squires of Texas and Linda Barry of Vermont, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her brother, Francis "Lefty" La Pierre. A Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard with Fr. Michael Twohig, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard. A Calling hour will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
