Arlene M. Langton, 92 passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at her home in Ludlow. She was born June 15, 1932, in Ludlow to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bousquet) Goodreau. She was a longtime resident of Ludlow. She enjoyed birdwatching, reading, going to local parks and traveling throughout the country to visit her children. She was a wonderful card player and thoroughly enjoyed her weekly card games with her brother and sisters. Arlene was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Carl M. Langton, and is survived by her five children: son Carl J. Langton and wife Doreen, daughter Holly A. Yordy and husband Glennard; daughter Deborah M. Langton; daughter Lynn M. Langton and daughter Susan M. Nurse and husband Clifford. She leaves seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Arlene was the oldest of fifteen and is survived by seven sisters and one brother: Joanne, Janice, Judy, Carol, Donna, Gail, Renee, and Wayne. Sadly, she was predeceased by Richard, Robert, Joyce, Ronald, Sharon and Dennis. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 21 for visitation from 9-11 am at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard, followed by a service at 11am celebrating Arlene’s life. Burial will follow immediately at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield. The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice caretakers and the Ludlow paramedics.
