Barbara Marie Dwello

Barbara M. Dwello 1933-2010 PITTSFIELD - Barbara Marie Dwello, 77, of Pittsfield, formerly of  the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, entered into eternal rest in the loving presence of her family on Friday, May 14, 2010.  Born in Springfield and a resident of Pittsfield for the past (14) years, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Reddin) Hickey.  Barbara was employed by the City of Springfield for (30) years.  She worked in food service at the former Springfield Municipal Hospital.  She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her friends at the Pittsfield Senior Center.  Barbara was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #277 of Indian Orchard.  Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Clapp, Joseph, John, William and Robert Hickey and grandson, Alan Wilson.  Barbara leaves her daughters, JoAnn Sovereign and husband Michael of Eureka, CA, Constance Reed of Blue Lake, CA, Merry M. Milano and husband Lio of Springfield, a brother, Kenneth Gagne of Springfield and sisters, Alice LeMaster of Agawam, Marcella Cunningham of Atlanta, GA; (7) grandchildren, Amy Ingalls, David Pieczarka, Robert Ryan, Amanda Sovereign, Shad Sovereign, William Antunes, Kristy Antunes; several great grandchildren and good friends Pat Rinaldi and Betty Winters  Calling hours will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA  01701.
