Beatrice B. Belleville

INDIAN ORCHARD- Beatrice B. (Bea) Belleville, 95, formerly of Montcalm Street in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, passed away peacefully last Friday morning, November 24, 2017, at Baystate Medical Center. Bea was born in Springfield on March 21, 1922, daughter of the late Ernest and Eva Bolduc and the oldest of five children. Her formative years were happily spent on Rogers Street, and she was a lifelong resident of the Orchard. Bea attended local schools, graduating from Technical High with honors. She married Bernie Belleville on May 13, 1942 at St. Aloysius Church in the Orchard, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage, until his passing in 1998.  Bea's working career was long and varied, but her true passion was reserved for her family and those she considered family.  In her free time, she read avidly, traveled, sewed, listened to music, and very much enjoyed attending Springfield College's Learning Later in Life program.  She was a former communicant and Eucharistic minister of St. Aloysius and St. Jude's churches in the Orchard. She leaves her children; Rick Belleville and his wife Jane of Indian Orchard, Judy Rosso and her husband Eddie of Springfield, Lynn Moffett and her husband Jack of Scottsdale, AZ, Don Belleville and his wife Leanne of Biddeford, ME, and Matthew Belleville and his wife Cathy of Wilbraham. She was a devoted Mémé to her cherished nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Buster Bolduc (94) of Houston, TX and an extended family of loving nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her sisters, Lillian Noonan and Phyllis Maynard, and by her brother, Ray. Calling hours at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m.  Funeral services will be Friday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. and followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 at St. Cecilia's Church, 42 Main St, Wilbraham. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Indian Orchard.  For those who wish, any donations made in Bea's memory to a children's cause, such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital, would be appreciated.  Never an unkind word, always an open heart, forever beloved.
