Carl T. Gibb Jr.

Carl Tivitodale Gibb Jr. of Ludlow, age 87, passed away June 20, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Carl was born in Ludlow on November 8, 1936, a son of the late Carl T. Sr. and Marion (Barrett) Gibb. He was a Marine Corps veteran of 20 years, serving in Korea, Japan, Viet Nam (3 tours). Joining in 1953 and retiring in 1973. He earned a degree from STCC. He spent 20 plus years with the US Postal Service retiring at 74. He was a member of the American Artillery Association, where he was Vice President and enjoyed shooting mortars and canons, putting on shows, parades and competitions in the area. Carl enjoyed tinkering with his motorcycles. Carl is predeceased by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Jean D (Aliszewski) Gibb, his daughter Cynthia and her husband Eddie Bly, his brothers William and Robert Gibb, and his stepson James Stoffel. He is survived by his son Robert Gibb and his wife Patricia of NC, his stepsons Norman Belben of Ludlow, Robert Belben and his wife Carol of ME, and his stepdaughter Linda Belben with whom he lived, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a nephew Gregory of CT and several cousins.
