Carol A. Preston

Carol A. Preston, 72, of Springfield, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 6, 2024. Carol loved camping with her husband Robert, going on trips to Disney World with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, loved sewing, campfires, and every kind of pastry. She was a lifelong nurse, RN working at Baystate Medical Center, Shriners Hospital and at Camp Bonnie Brae for the Girl Scouts. She leaves behind her husband, Robert L. Preston, her daughter Carrie McCorkindale, son David Wellspeak, sister Elaine Coles and husband Scott and son Jeff, brother David Jarvis and wife Michele, grandchildren Jordyn, Emma, Abbie & Chase. She also leaves behind 7 stepchildren, Robert Jr, Matt, Laurie, Ashley, Lisa, Linda, and Sarah, and step grandchildren, Preston, Angaley and Wyatt. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4-6pm at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard, MA.
