Carole A. Dominick

June 22, 1942 — September 16, 2025

Chicopee, MA

Carole A. (Buzzell) Dominick, 83, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Longmeadow. Born on June 22, 1942, in Bellows Falls, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Eleanor (Slack) Buzzell.

Carole was a proud graduate of Bellows Falls High School. She began her family with Glendon Griffin in 1961 and later married Lawrence Dominick, whom she was introduced to by her brother Ronald. Together, Carole and Larry made their home in Chicopee, where they spent most of their lives.

She worked for many years in shipping and receiving, retiring from University Products in Holyoke. Carole will be remembered for her quiet strength, enduring patience, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Her favorite pastimes included dancing, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with her beloved dogs. She cherished spontaneous visits from friends and family, and nothing brought her more happiness than hosting Sunday dinners surrounded by loved ones—her “best thing ever.”

Carole was predeceased by her husband Larry, her parents, her brother Daniel Buzzell, and her sister Bonnie Phillips. She leaves behind her son Scott Griffin and his wife Debbie, her daughter Tammie Griffin and her husband David Carlson, her brothers Ronald and Wayne Buzzell, and her sisters Leona Harrington and Diane Ingram. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bryan Josefiak, Kylie Josefiak and her husband Peter, Dale Griffin and his wife Katie, and her great-grandchildren Luka, Hadleigh, and Cooper.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Averi Purchas for her thoughtful guidance in helping place Carole, and to JGS Lifecare for the compassionate care and support they provided during the final chapter of Carole’s life.
