Celeste D. Roberge

Celeste D. Roberge 1927-2009   Celeste Dolores (Martins) Roberge, 82, of Indian Orchard, passed away in the loving presence of her family on Tuesday, November 10, 2009.  Born in Ludlow and a resident of Indian Orchard for (60) years, she was the daughter of the late Anibal and Gloria (Ferriera) Martins.  She was a retired data processing supervisor for Buxton, Inc. She had also worked for the former Springfield Armory during World War II.  Celeste was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Post #277 of Indian Orchard. Knitting and crocheting were two of her favorite pastimes.  She leaves her husband of (60) years, Edward A. Roberge; two sons, Edward P. Roberge and wife Jody and Paul M. Roberge and wife Sandy all of Belchertown; two brothers, Anicet Martins of Ware, John Martins of Palmer; four sisters, Ida Provost , Rosalina Mucaria, Dolores Douville all of Ludlow and Antonia Cote of Hampden and a grandson, Jason Roberge.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m. followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church 1023 Parker St., Springfield at 10 a.m.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Celeste's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA  01701.  For Guest Book: ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
