Charles C. Lamondia

Charles C. LaMondia 1927 - 2009  Ludlow - Charles C. "Buster" LaMondia, 81, a fifty four year Ludlow resident, died on Friday, April 3, at Baystate Medical Center.  He was born in Springfield on April 21, 1927, a son of the late Floyd Sr. and Sarah (Monette) LaMondia.  He attended local schools and retired from the Baystate Medical Center maintenance department after twenty years of service.  Buster was a lover of animals, enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty three years, Isabel (Bragga) LaMondia, two daughters, Sandra and her husband Gary F. Higgins of Florida, and Robin Echols of North Carolina.  He also leaves two brothers, Floyd LaMondia Jr. of Ludlow, and John LaMondia of Chicopee, two sisters, Beverly Stalman of South Hadley, and Janice Campbell of Florida.  He will be sadly missed by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services are Thursday, April 9 at 9am from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. in Indian Orchard, followed by a Liturgy of the Word service at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, East St. in Ludlow.  Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are on Wednesday, April 8 from 4 - 8pm.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
