Claire Fafard

Claire Fafard 1914-2009   Trois-Rivieres, Canada   Claire (Marchand) Fafard, 95, formerly of Indian Orchard, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009.  Born in Cap-de-Madeleine, Quebec, Canada she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Brousseau) Marchand.  She was a resident of Indian Orchard for over (35) years before retuning to Canada several years ago. Claire was a retired assembler for the former National Transparent Plastic Co.  She was a communicant of the former St. Aloysius Church, now St. Jude Church of Indian Orchard and was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne Society.  Claire was predeceased by her husband William H. Fafard.  She is survived by her brothers, Laurent Marchand and his wife Monique, Lazare Marchard and Andre Marchand and his wife Marina, several nieces, cousins and friends all in Canada.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 11:30 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 12 Noon.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
