Claire M. Holden1920-2014Springfield- Claire M. (Houle) Holden, 93, of Springfield, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Heritage Hall North in Agawam. She was born in Montreal, Canada on May 29, 1920. Claire moved to Springfield in 1955 with her late husband, Norman Holden, who passed in 1975. She worked for Buxton, Arrow Elastic and Koffee Kup Bakery. Claire later was employed by Bess Eaton Donuts on Page Blvd for many years and retired from Wendy's in Ludlow at the age of 85. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an avid league bowler well into her 80's. Claire leaves her son Dan Holden and his partner Kathy Budrow of Monson and her only grandson, Danny Holden of Tampa, FL, whom she loved spending time with. She was predeceased by her 9 brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 10-11am at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard with a funeral home service at 11am. Rites of Committal will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St, Springfield.
