Claire T. Rooney

Claire T. Rooney 1919-2011 LUDLOW - Claire T. Rooney, 91, of Ludlow, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 22, 2011. Born in Ludlow and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Valeria E. (Mayou) Rooney.  Claire was a retired 35 year premium accounting clerk for Mass Mutual of Springfield.  She was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church of Ludlow.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jeannette C. Rooney who passed on October 30, 2001 and by her brother, Everett E. Rooney who passed on November 5, 2009. She is survived by Craig and Valerie Mariani and family, several cousins and close friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Parish in St. John the Baptist Church, Ludlow at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.  Claire's family will receive friends and relatives at a gathering in the Ratell Funeral Home on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m.  For Claire's personal webpage visit ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
