Clifford C. Plourde

Clifford C. Plourde, 85, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on December 22. Clifford was born in Springfield, son to the late Clifford G. Plourde and Irene (LaBranche) Plourde. He is also predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Moriarty of New Bedford and the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Marsha (Merkel) Plourde.
Clifford attended the High School of Commerce in Springfield. He then went on to serve in the US Army. After completing his service, he earned associates degrees from both Western New England University and Springfield Technical Community College. He worked for the US Postal Service in various roles for most of his working life.
Clifford will be remembered as a kind and loving father and grandfather. He was a trivia aficionado with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He leaves his daughter Pamela (Plourde) Walczak, and her husband Brian of Ludlow and his cherished grandchildren: Abby, Nick, Gabby and Lauren.
Family and friends will gather at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1390 Main Street in Agawam, MA on February 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM for a prayer service and military honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Stroke Association. The Ratell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
