Clifford William Thibeault

THREE RIVERS- Clifford W. Thibeault Sr., 78, of Norbell St. in Three Rivers passed away on Saturday evening from complications of Alzheimer's and Covid-19. Cliff was born in Springfield on October 19, 1941, one of fourteen children to Phillip and Betsey (White) Thibeault. He was raised in Springfield, attending local schools. He proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard after High School. After being discharged and returning home, Cliff served as a Correctional Officer for the Connecticut Department of Corrections from 1969 to 1989 when he retired. Cliff enjoyed the Ocean, especially boating and was a member of the Pattaconk Yacht Club. He also enjoyed bowling and watching football. He was a "Snow Bird" for many years, wintering in Florida with his beloved wife, Linda. Cliff leaves his beloved wife; Linda D. (Franck) Thibeault. His children; Diane Bouchard and her husband Donald of Hampden, Clifford W. Thibeault Jr. of Wilbraham and Joanne Crosby of Ft. Pierce, FLA., his five cherished grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Clifford leaves his dear sister, Claire Dondley of East Longmeadow. He was sadly predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters. A Private cremation service was held and interment will be at a late date in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow. Ratell Funeral & Cremation services has been entrusted with arrangements.
