Constance C. Goodrow

Constance C. Goodrow 1931 - 2008 WILBRAHAM - Constance C. (LaRose) Goodrow, 77, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at Wingate at Wilbraham Nursing Home. She was born in Springfield on March 26, 1931 to the late Frank and Lea (Lavoie) LaRose. She attended schools in Indian Orchard and was a longtime parishioner of the former St. Aloysius, now St. Jude, parish. In addition to raising her own nine children, Constance babysat for many of the neighborhood children. Everyone knew her as "mom". She leaves to cherish her memory, her former husband, Sylvio Goodrow of St. Petersburg, FL; her six sons, Gary and his wife Darlene of Clearwater, FL, Walter and his fiancée Anne of Springfield, Clifford of St. Petersburg, FL, Glenn and his wife Elisabeth of Ludlow, David and his wife Gail of Ludlow and Michael and his fiancée Jennifer of Granby; her three daughters, Debra Skura and her husband Mitchell of Indian Orchard, Carol Lysik of Indian Orchard and Lisa Goodrow of Springfield; her brother Rene LaRose and his wife Shirley of Covina, CA; her sister Fleurannette Baiss of Tampa FL; her lifelong friend Irene (Auffrey) Barone of Indian Orchard; her seventeen grandchildren and her ten great - grandchildren. Mrs. Goodrow was predeceased by her brother Francis LaRose. A funeral procession will form on Wednesday, October 1, at 8:45 a.m. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church in Indian Orchard. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Goodrow's memory, to West River Care, 24 Prospect Ave, West Springfield, MA, 01089.
