Darlene Marie (Ingram) Langevin of Springfield, age 73, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her adoring husband, loving son, and caring friends. She was born July 30, 1951, in Framingham, MA to her late parents Arthur and Mary (Gaudette) Ingram. On Christmas day in 1966, Darlene met the love of her life, Robert Langevin, and they were married, not two years later in November of 1968. The loving couple became a family in October 1969 when their son Robert Jr. was born. They remained happily married for 56 years. Darlene worked as a clerk at Kmart for 20 years, and then as an assistant cook in the school department for 10 years for the city of Springfield which was later managed by Sodexo. Darlene loved spending time on Cape Cod camping with her family and used to enjoy riding a motorcycle with Robert. She liked to spend her time doing crossword puzzles, listening to oldies like Elvis Presley, and watching old movies on TV. Darlene will be remembered by family and friends as wonderful, loving, caring woman who was honest and had great integrity. Darlene is predeceased by her parents and her four brothers, Ron, Robert Sr., Carl Sr., and Richie Ingram. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert Langevin, her son Robert Langevin Jr., her sister Deborah A. Ingram, her brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Elaine Langevin, and Kenneth and Linda Dubey, many nieces and nephews and their spouses, as well as lifelong friends Diane DePolo, and Donald and Laura Marsh who were the maid of honor and best man at their wedding.
