SPRINGFIELD- Deborah A. (Gordon) Ferenz, 63, of Bexhill Street in Springfield passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday morning at her home. Debbie was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on November 3, 1956, a daughter of Francis and Dorothy (Sacco) Gordon. She was a longtime Springfield resident and worshipped at the Greater New Life Christian Center in Indian Orchard. Debbie worked for Riverside Industries for many years and also at TSL Distributors before retiring in 2015. She enjoyed crocheting, tag sales (looking for that one great find) and shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She leaves her beloved husband, Stephen Ferenz of Springfield. Her children; Mandy LaFond, Eileen Hunter-Ganieany of Ludlow and Eric Hunter of Bondsville, Norman LaFond of Athol and Jay LaFond of West Virginia, Blake and Luke Ferenz of Richmond, VA. Her siblings; Kim Butterfoss of Clearwater, FLA., and Joyce Slate of West Springfield as well as fourteen cherished grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a Celebration of Debbie's life at a future date.
