Dennis Lee Calvanese

Dennis Lee Calvanese of Springfield, MA, aged 72, passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born on October 4, 1952, and was a lifelong resident of Springfield. Dennis was a son of his late parents, Louis and Mafalda “Dorothy” (Ricardi) Calvanese. He graduated from Technical High School in Springfield, and then from STCC with an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering. Dennis loved the ocean and was a sailor in the US Navy. He retired after working for many years as a Building Inspector for the City of Springfield. Dennis enjoyed playing drums in area bands, and he loved his family. He is survived by his brother John and his wife Donna Calvanese of Ludlow, and his favorite nephew, Anthony. Visiting Hours will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Ratell Funeral Home at 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard, MA, with a Funeral Home Service beginning at 10:45 AM, with Rites of Committal to follow at St. Michael Cemetery at 1601 State Street, Springfield.
