Dolores C. Plourde

Dolores C. Plourde 1916-2008   Dolores C. (L'Heureux) Plourde, 91, of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Indian Orchard, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008.  Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Phillippe and Olivine (Morin) L'Heureux.  Dolores was a resident of Indian Orchard for many years before moving to Florida (14) years ago.  She was an office clerk for several years having been employed by Adley Express, Monarch Insurance and Mongeau's Pharmacy of Indian Orchard.  She was a communicant of St. Jude Church, formerly St. Aloysius, and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society. Dolores had also been a member of the Indian Orchard Golden Age Club. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Leo William Plourde who died in 1992.  She is survived by her son, William Vincent Plourde and his wife Joanne of Port Richey, FL; her daughter, Constance Thurber of Port Orange, FL; (8) grandchildren and (15) great grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 in St. Jude Church 221 Main St. Indian Orchard at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dolores' memory may be made to a Hospice Care of your choice.
