Donald G. Duquette 1931 - 2012 LUDLOW- Donald "Duke" Duquette entered peacefully into eternal rest at Mercy Hospital on April 2. He was surrounded by loved ones. Born in Indian Orchard, he was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius School and Technical High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. He later ran the restaurant supply company Walter A. Carl, Inc. He bowled in leagues and pitched horseshoes for Henry's Jewelers team. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. He was devoted to all members of the pool community at the Ludlow Senior Center and Snookers of Springfield. He donated much time to teaching pool at several senior centers. He is survived by his daughter Theresa and her husband Daniel Peloquin, grandsons Ryan and Kyle, his sister Jean (Duquette) Fredette, and former wife Dorothy Duquette. He is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Duquette and their parents Blanche (Charland) and Damase Duquette. He also leaves many beloved family and friends. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral home service at 7 p.m., Monday, April 9, at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard. A military service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery 1390 Main St., Agawam, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10.
