Donald Hebert 1930-2014 INDIAN ORCHARD- Donald Hebert, 84, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at home. He was born in Chicopee on January 19, 1930. Donald was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from Friendly's Ice Cream Corp. after 10 years of service. Donald was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Parish, Ludlow, and the former St. Aloysius Parish, Indian Orchard. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his animals. Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara M. (Willette) Hebert; a daughter, Donna M. Plourde and her husband Michel of Indian Orchard; a son, William J. Hebert of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Justina, Tracy, Michelle, and Francine; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 10 a.m. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., with Rites of Committal and burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., both in Indian Orchard. Visitation will precede the services from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
