Dora T. Surprenant

Dora T. Surprenant 1911-2010 LUDLOW- Dora T. Surprenant, 99, a life long Ludlow resident, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Life Care of Wilbraham. Dora was born in Ludlow on July 1, 1911 a daughter of the late Philias and Delia (Daigle) Surprenant. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow. Dora was predeceased by her loving husband, Ophelia Surprenant in 1977. She is survived by her brother, Eugene Surprenant of Ludlow; two sisters-in-law, Marion Surprenant and Marguerite Surprenant, both of Ludlow; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 6th beginning at 8 a.m. from the Ratell funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m. in The Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church, Hubbard St., Ludlow. Rites of Committal and burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Springfield. Dora's family will receive friends at the visiting hours on Tuesday, October 5th from 4-6 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made in Dora's memory to St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center, 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA 01056 or Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02172.
