Doris Chasse

LUDLOW ~ Doris Meagher Chasse passed away Saturday, June 19 at her home in Ludlow. Doris was born in New Brunswick, NJ Doris earned her Master's Degree at Columbia University and began her Physical Education teaching career at Van Sickle in Springfield in 1952. She married Bert Chasse, the love of her life, in 1957. Together they skied, hiked, camped & traveled extensively for 54 years. Doris also taught at St. Mary's in Longmeadow where she lived before moving to Monson then Ludlow. A daily communicant of Christ the King Church, she was dedicated to the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel as well as numerous Pro-Life causes. Devoted to her family, Doris is survived by her children Joseph E. Chasse of Monson & Christine C. Allen of Berwick, PA; grandchildren Thomas & Katelyn Chasse, John, Benjamin & Sarah Allen; great grandchildren Leo, Hunter & Mackenzie Foucher & Rosalie Allen Raymond.
At her passing, Doris was cared for by a dear friend, many compassionate caregivers & hospice.  Funeral services will be Saturday July 10, 2021. The family invites you to join them on Saturday, July 10 2021 for visitation from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Ratell Funeral Home,  200 Main St. Indian Orchard followed by a Liturgy of  Mass of Christian at 10:00 A.M. at Christ the King Church 44 Warsaw Ave Ludlow.
