Doris Richards

Doris Richards 1919-2012 Northampton- Doris (Ladue) Richards, 93, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2012 at Cooley Dickenson Hospital. She was born in Springfield on June 15, 1919 to the late Napoleon and Alphonsine (Table) LeDoux. Doris was proud of her French heritage and was the youngest of her large family. She attended Ludlow schools, where she lived most of her life. Doris married her first husband, Clarence Richards and together they enjoyed travelling and taking long car rides to different parts of the country. After living in St. Louis, MO and Cape Cod, Doris moved back to Ludlow when Clarence passed away in 1975. While living in Ludlow, she met her second husband Louis Vivenzio. They shared interests in dancing, antiques, and winters in Florida until his passing. Doris maintained her Ludlow home as long as she was able. In recent years, she lived at Overlook and Rockridge in Northampton. Doris was a lover of beauty and the arts and decorated her world with creativity and style. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting, gardening, yard work, and shopping. Doris loved attending holidays and picnics with her family. She is survived by her son Gary Richards and his wife Elaine Hyde of Williamsburg, MA and one granddaughter Jeannine Richards of WI. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in St. Aloysius Cemetery at 11am. There are no calling hours. For further information please visit Ratellfuneralhome.com.
