Dorothy Rose Bailey1923-2014SPRINGFIELD- Dorothy Rose (Shlosser) Bailey, 90, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on September 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Brouillet) Shlosser. Dorothy retired from United Technologies American Bosch Division on September 30, 1985 after 43 ½ years of service. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis A. Bailey; and a son, Neil F. Bailey. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Kenneth P. Bailey and his wife Louise of Gales Ferry, CT, and Francis A. Bailey Jr., of Townsend, VT; daughter in law, Zella Bailey of Springfield; four grandchildren, Stephen, Kenneth Jr., and Allison Bailey, and Sarah LeBlanc; four great-grandchildren, Rylan, Zachary, Trinity, and Hunter; a brother, Albert Shlosser Jr. and his wife Mary of Ware; her niece and caregiver, Paula Guyette of Springfield; and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, August 8th at 8 p.m. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. Indian Orchard. Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering prior to the service from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Rites of Committal will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery, St. Pius Section, 1601 State St. Springfield. Ratell Funeral Home(413)543-3836
