Dorothy Yvette Jago

Dorothy Y. Jago 1921-2011 EAST LONGMEADOW- Dorothy Y. (Arsenault) Jago 1921-2011, East Longmeadow, was called home on March 6th. Born Oct. 5, 1921 to Marie Celina Arsenault and Edward Arsenault in New Bedford, MA. She was raised and educated in S. Weymouth by her mom and stepfather "Charlie" Sullivan.  Married in 1947, Dot and her husband "Buddy" lived in Quincy, MA and Long Island, NY before settling in Springfield in 1957 to launch Pierson Industries in Palmer. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1972. Dot enjoyed bowling, bingo, dancing, and knitting. She had been employed by Grace Food Service at Springfield College for many years and then Wesson Women's Hospital. During retirement she volunteered at the Greater Springfield Senior Services. She leaves a daughter, Donna Jago of Agawam and a son Charles "Chuck" Jago and his wife Sandy of Phoenix, AZ along with two granddaughters, Megan and Sandra Jago. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers or donations, please consider visiting or volunteering at a nursing home or practicing random good deeds to those in need. Ratell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
