Eleanor L. Korovae

Eleanor Lucille Korovae, 84 a lifelong resident of Springfield passed on Sunday June 26, 2016 at Wingate of East Longmeadow.  Eleanor was born to the late Charles and Rosalee (Therrien) Gagne. She was married to the love of her life and best friend Edward Korovae for over 61 years. Eleanor had many passions in life like Gardening, attending Tag sales, and reading but her true love and passion was her family. Eleanor was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Edward Korovae; her daughters; Kathy Masztal and her husband Mark of Springfield, Linda Martin and her husband Bob of Avon, CT; her sons Mark Korovae and his partner Mary Ann Phelon of Hadley and Kristopher Korovae and his wife Sylwia of North Providence, RI; grandchildren Mark E. Korovae, Nikki Martin, Julia Korovae, Daniel Korovae, Sara Korovae and Amelia Korovae. Family and Friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday June 30 at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard from 4- 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Church 1900 Allen Street, Springfield on Friday July 1 at 10:30AM. All who wish to attend are invited to the funeral home beginning at 9:15 AM. Burial will take place at the Hillcrest Park Cemetery with final committal prayers.
