Emilia Felicidade Serrazina

Emilia  Serrazina 1934-2009   Emilia Felicidade (Roxo) Serrazina, 75, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Baystate Medial Center surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Benedita, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Jose and Francelina (Felicidade) Roxo.  Emilia came to the United States and Indian Orchard in 1973.  She was a retired assembler for Waldman Publishing.  She was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Indian Orchard. Emilia loved and cared for her family dearly.  Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life. She was a great cook and loved her garden growing vegetables and assorted flowers.  She was predeceased by her husband Artur R. Serrazina in 1992 by her son, Joaquim R. "Jack" Serrazina in 2001 and her brothers, Antonio Roxo, Joao Roxo and Paulo Roxo.  She leaves to treasure her memory five sons; Luis M. L. Serrazina, Francisco J. R. Serrazina, Fernando M. R. Serrazina, Rui R. Serrazina all of Ludlow, Jose R. Serrazina of Springfield; three daughters, Maria L. Serrazina of Indian Orchard, Isabel R. Serrazina of Springfield, Gracinda R. Serrazina of Indian Orchard; two brothers, Fernando Roxo of Ludlow, Manuel Roxo of Portugal; two sisters; Maria Roxo and Gracinda Lopes both of Portugal; thirteen grandchildren; Daniel, Carlos, Diane, Brian, Kassandra, Erica, Filipe, Vincent, Anthony, Sofia, Alexander, Nikolas, Andrew and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow.  Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. For Guest Book: ratellfuneralhome.com
