Eugene H. Marceau, Sr. 1926-2014 Indian Orchard- Eugene H. Marceau, Sr., 88, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully at East Village Place in East Longmeadow on Sunday, December 7, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Ludlow on November 1, 1926, he was a son of the late Harry and Irene (Brockney) Marceau. Eugene served in the United States Navy during WWII obtaining the rank of Seaman 1st class.  He worked for Chapman Valve and retired from Jahn Foundry in 1990. Eugene was a member of the Fairview Sportsman's Club and was a true outdoors man. He loved hunting, fishing, hiking, and photography. Eugene was predeceased by his wife Eleanor J. (O'Brien) in 1998 and his two sons, David P. and Robert J. Marceau. He leaves his loving children, Stephen Marceau and his wife Rose of Southampton, Daniel Marceau and his wife Brenda of Houston, TX, Gary Marceau and his wife Teri of Wilbraham, Nancy Coelho and her husband JD of Greenback, TN, and Eugene Marceau Jr. and his wife Tara of Indian Orchard; his brother, Clarence "Gooch" Marceau; his sister Gloria Flynn; fourteen grandchildren, Colleen, Matthew, Michael, Ryan, Brendan, Allison, Jason, Kristen, Jeffrey, Joseph, Kelsea, Gabriel, Quinn, and Avery; and one great-grandson, Julian. He was also predeceased by his brothers George and Francis Marceau. Funeral services for Eugene will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 starting at 9:30am at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard, with a funeral home service at 10am. Burial will be take place in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave, Indian Orchard. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 11th from 5-8pm.
