Evelyn M. Mills1922-2016Ludlow- Evelyn "Dolly" M. (Dunlap) Mills, 93 of Ludlow, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Vinalhaven, ME on October 10, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Owen and Mabel (Lawry) Dunlap. Evelyn moved to the Orchard in 1958 where she lived for many years. She worked as a department manager for Zayre's for 20 years and Steigers for 5 years before retiring in 1979. She loved trips to the beach in Maine so she could sit there and watch the ocean. Evelyn also enjoyed traveling with her friends. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Maxwell Mills in 1995. She leaves her daughter, Ruth Sassi and her husband Gino; her two grandsons, Michael Belanger and Troy Aimes; her three step-grandchildren, David, Steven, and Kathi Sassi; five great grandchildren, Nelson and Megan Dearborn, Joseph Labelle, Stephanie Soffen, and Emily Moriarty; six step-great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one great-great step-grandchild. Along with her husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her son, Richard Mills; her granddaughter, Cynthia Belanger; and her grandson, Mark Belanger. A graveside service for Evelyn will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1pm in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave, Indian Orchard.
