Florence Antico-Doda 1925-2008 Florence (Picard) Antico-Doda, 82, of Ludlow passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield and a resident of Ludlow for the past (46) years, Florence was the daughter of the late Dave and Julia (Ouimette) Picard. She was a retired employee of Hamilton-Standard of Windsor Locks, CT and had worked at the former Wesson Memorial Hospital in Springfield. Florence was a communicant of Christ the King Church and was a member of the parish Perpetual Adoration Group. She leaves her son, Kenneth Antico and his wife, Karen of Agawam; her daughters, Elaine Geoffrion and her husband, John of Agawam; Geraldine Metras and her husband, Warren of Springfield; her brother, Lawrence Picard and sister Dora Picard both of Indian Orchard; her (5) grandchildren, Melissa Cardaropoli and her husband, Marc; Chrissy Metras; Robert Geoffrion; Danny Geoffrion and Katie Geoffrion and (2) great grandchildren; Niccolo Cardaropoli and Isabella Cardaropoli. Florence was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Antico in 1975, by her second husband, Michael Doda in 2000, and her siblings, Elmer, Arthur, Dave, Irene and Dorothy. A special thanks to the nurses of Springfield 1 for their loving care and support given to our mother. The funeral will be Monday, July 21, 2008 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10:15 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
