Florence M. Blais

Florence Marie Blais, 87, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Saturday July 23 at the Birch Gardens in Chicopee. Florence was born in Canada, moving to Springfield with her family in 1929. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Florence worked for Massachusetts Wholesale Drug Inc. until her retirement. She enjoyed her daily activities at Birch Gardens, including arts and crafts and knitting.  Florence is survived by her brother Robert Blais of Ludlow, 11 nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Joseph, Romeo, Roland and Ernest Blais and her sister Claire Blais, and 2 nieces. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday July 27 from 4-6 pm at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow at the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springfield, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Florence's name to a Catholic church of your choice.
