Florence M. Lambert 1939-2011 SPRINGFIELD- Florence M. (Houle) Lambert, 72, of East Springfield and formerly of Indian Orchard, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Indian Orchard on February 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Hubert H. and Doria A. (Daigneault) Houle. Florence graduated from Cathedral High School in 1957. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church, East Springfield, and the former Our Lady of Hope Church, Hungry Hill, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Florence enjoyed square dancing, but received the most enjoyment when she was spending time with her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Ernest E. Lambert; two sons, Ernest J. and Kenneth E. Lambert, both of Springfield; four daughters, Celeste M., Bernadette A., Jeanne M. Lambert, and Therese M. Michalczyk all of Springfield; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Houle of Indian Orchard; two sisters, Fabiola Gamache of Ludlow, and Andrea Witherell and her husband Richard of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Alice Houle of Chicopee; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her grandson, Jason E. Rivers; a brother, Homer Houle, and a sister, Jeanne M.Houle. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20th beginning at 9 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd., East Springfield, with Rites of Committal in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard. Florence's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Sunday, June 19th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
