Florence Jeannette Wolstencroft

Florence J. Wolstencroft 1919-2013 Wilbraham- Florence J. (Letarte) Wolstencroft, 93, of Manchonis Rd. Ext. in Wilbraham and formerly of Indian Orchard, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Reeds Landing in Springfield. Born in Springfield on July 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Mary (Roberge) Letarte. Florence attended Springfield schools and American International College. She worked in the administrative office at Steiger's in the Eastfield Mall for 25 years and previously at Monarch Life Insurance Company. After retiring, she also volunteered at the Springfield Art Museum.  Florence was an avid bridge player and greatly enjoyed her many Wilbraham bridge groups. She loved gardening and had a special talent with both flowers and vegetables. Florence was predeceased by her husband, George S. Wolstencroft, in 1974. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves two sons, George S. Wolstencroft and his wife Lynn of Charlton, MA and Tracy R. Wolstencroft and his wife Catherine of Greenwich, CT; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Cecilia's Church, 64 Main St., Wilbraham at 10am.  Arrangements are being coordinated through Ratell Funeral Home, (413-543-3836, ratellfuneralhome.com).
