Francis R. Demers Sr.

Springfield- Francis R. Demers, Sr., 77, of West Springfield, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center.  Born in Ludlow on February 15, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph Henry Demers Sr. and Gertrude (Ducharme) Demers. Francis worked for Demers Exposition Services, Inc. for 10 years and for HP Hood for 22 years. He enjoyed playing cards at the West Springfield, Agawam and E. Longmeadow Senior Centers and was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan. Francis loved his family and will truly be missed by all that loved him. He leaves 9 sons, two daughters, his brother Thomas, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph Demers Jr. and Robert Demers, and his sister Margaret Demers. All funeral services will be private.
