Francis Seremeth

Francis Seremeth, 76, of Springfield passed away peacefully on Monday November 14th 2016. Francis was born in Ludlow on December 18th, 1939 to the late Joseph and Cora Seremeth. He attended Beverley School for the Deaf in Beverly, MA and the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT where he graduated in 1959. He worked at Cigna in Bloomfield, CT as a Master Printer for 32 years. Francis was a member of the National Fraternal Society for the Deaf for several years as well as the New England Deaf Senior Citizens. He also was a long standing associate member of the American Legion Post 277 in Indian Orchard. Francis was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and the outdoors and loved his country. He leaves behind brothers Edwin Seremeth of Columbus, OH and Robert Seremeth of Maryland along with several nieces and nephews, longtime friend and roommate Kenneth LaRose of Springfield, his Godson Jason LaRose of Towson, MD and Dean LaRose of Springfield. Family and friends are invited to pay tribute to Francis on Friday November 18, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main Street Indian Orchard follow by a Celebration of Life service at 6pm in the funeral home chapel. Final Committal prayers will take place at Island Pond Cemetery on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at 1pm.  Memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104 or American School for the Deaf 139 North Main St. West Hartford, CT 06107.
