George Albert Belanger

George A. Belanger 1932-2008   George Albert Belanger, 76, of Ludlow, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at home. Born in Manchester, NH and a long time Ludlow resident, he was the son of the late George and Lydia (Brunelle) Belanger.  George was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1951 of Manchester, NH.  He was a retired (21) year Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church of Ludlow and was a member of the parish choir.  He was a chorister for over (50) years and was a member of the Union of Swedish Singers. George is survived by his wife, Claire (Pratte) Belanger and children Michael Belanger and his wife, Melissa; Donna Marie Garcia and her husband, Jose; David Belanger and his wife, Mimi; and Denise M. Cardaropoli; a brother, Maurice Belanger and his wife, Irene; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Garcia, Jesse Cardaropoli, James Cardaropoli, Jennifer Belanger, Brandy Belanger, Gregory Belanger, Alex Belanger and four great grandchildren, Jacob, Jeremy, Jr., Arianna and Colin.  The funeral will be on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow at 11:30 a.m.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.  Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Guest Book www.ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
