George Donigian

George Donigian 1931-2008   George Donigian, 77, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008 in Wilbraham.  Born in Indian Orchard and a life long resident, he was the son of the late George and Sarah (Piligian) Donigian.  George was a retired (36) year employee of the former Monsanto Co., of Indian Orchard and was a member of St. Mark Armenian Church of Springfield.  George was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #277 of Indian Orchard and was a member of the Swift River Sportsmen Club of Belchertown.  George is survived by his brother-in-law, Arthur Ohanesian of Framingham, a nephew, Michael Ohanesian of Ashland and a niece, Deborah VonRueden of Franklin.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10:30 a.m., followed by the services in St. Mark Armenian Church, Springfield at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.  Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Armenian Church 2427 Wilbraham Rd., Springfield, MA  01129.
