George Terzi

George Terzi Jr. 1937-2011 Rutland, MA- George Terzi Jr., 74, formerly of Indian Orchard, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was born in Springfield on March 3, 1937, a son of the late George and Leona (Gamache) Terzi. George was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from the Chicopee School Department and had worked previously for the American Bosch. George enjoyed gardening and most sports, especially football. He was predeceased by a sister, Louise Payne. George is survived by his wife, Doris E. (Gore) Terzi; a son, George "Tony" Terzi of Rutland; two grandsons, Anthony G. and Adam R. Terzi, both of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, Rowan C. and Skylar R. Terzi; a brother, Charles Terzi of Springfield; a sister Jean Hamel of Agawam; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
