Gerard J. Paul 1914-2011 HAMPDEN- Gerard J. Paul, 97, a life long Indian Orchard resident, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was born in Springfield on January 26, 1914, a son of the late August and Celina (Tellier) Paul. Gerard was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, obtaining the rank of Corporal. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. Gerard retired from the City of Springfield Water Department. He was a communicant of St. Jude Church. Gerard is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are asked to gather at St. Jude Church, Main St. Indian Orchard, on Saturday July 9th at 10 a.m. for a Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard. There are no visiting hours.
