Gertrude G. Linger

Gertrude Linger 1914-2008   Gertrude G. (Lavallee) Linger, 93, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 in the Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home, Holyoke.  Born in Sorel, Quebec, Canada, and a long time Indian Orchard resident, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and Roseanne (Cartier) Lavallee.  Gertrude was employed for several years in the housekeeping department of Baystate Medical Center.  She was a communicant of St. Jude Church of Indian Orchard.  Gertrude leaves her son, Ray Linger, Jr. and his wife Rosemary and her daughter, Patricia A. Linger all of Indian Orchard.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ray C. Linger in 1981.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 in the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10 a.m.  Burial will be private and at a later date in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Saint Vincent Resident Council Fund 35 Holy Family Road, Holyoke, MA  01040.
