Helen H. Seward

Helen H. Seward 1923-2009   Helen H. (Liljeroth) Seward, 86, of Monson, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in the presence of her loving family at home.  Born on October 30, 1923 in Rochester, VT she was the daughter of the late Walter B. Liljeroth and Hazel (Calkins) Liljeroth.  Helen enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising dogs, watching birds, wild animals and doing puzzles of all sorts.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ralph S. Seward of Monson; six sons, Charles H. Bowen of Whitehall, NY, Richard E. Bowen and Jack A. Bowen both of Clarendon, VT, Robert E. Bowen of Killington, VT, Garry C. Bowen of Castleton, VT, Allen L. Bowen of South Carolina; four daughters, Patricia A. Phinney of Monson, Lois A. Noble of Mechanicville, NY, Wendy Carter of Trinity, NC, Tammy Henderson of Georgia; three brothers, Leo Lawrence of Mendon, VT, Donald Lawrence of Shrewsbury, VT, Kenneth Lawrence of Rutland, VT, a sister, Roberta Wortman of Rutland, VT; 29 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 4 p.m.  Calling hours will also be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.  Burial will be private.
