Irene M. Riendeau

Irene M. Riendeau 1911-2009   Irene M. (Nadeau) Riendeau, 97, of East Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009.  Born in South Hadley she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Eaton) Nadeau.  Irene resided in West Springfield for several years before moving to East Springfield in 1974.  She was employed by Mass Mutual where she worked in the Mailing Department, retiring in 1976.  Irene was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in East Springfield and was a member of the Springfield Golden Age Club.  She was predeceased by her husband Lionel Riendeau in 1965; by her son Richard Riendeau in 2006 and by her brothers, Arthur, Alfred, Harold, Sr., Robert and Douglas Nadeau.  Irene leaves her children; Jean Jalbert of Caribou, ME; Diana Jarvis of Goodyear, AZ; Robert Riendeau, Sr. of Springfield; a sister; Rita Verrier of Ludlow; (9) grandchildren and (9) great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, West Springfield.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 4-7 PM.
