Irene A. Scott

Irene A. Scott, 70, of Shumway Street passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at Baystate Medical center in Springfield. Irene was born in Ludlow and spent all of her life in Indian Orchard. She was educated in local schools and graduated from the High School of Commerce in 1970. Irene worked as a Clerk for Chapin Center Nursing Home for many years before retiring in 2009. She was passionate about life in general, but especially about time spent with her grandchildren. She was an avid hockey fan (Bruins) and you could be assured of a phone call to remind you when the game was on. She leaves her husband, David J. Scott. Her children; Jeffrey Scott and his wife Barbara and Christopher Scott as well as her seven grandchildren. Her siblings; Eve Norris and husband Randy, Donna Snowdon and husband Douglas, Daniel Roberge and wife Maritza and Carl Roberge and wife Barbara and several nieces and nephews. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS ON FRIDAY, DEC. 10, 2021 AT RATELL FUNERAL HOME, 200 MAIN ST., INDIAN ORCHARD FROM 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. WITH A SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave., Spfld. In lieu of flowers, Irene would be honored to have donations to the American Lung Association.
