Irving C. Ostrander

SPRINGFIELD-Irving C. Ostrander Sr., 90, formerly of Springfield passed away on peacefully December 22, 2017 in Springfield. He was born on August 24, 1927 in Monson, the son of the late Walter H. and Jennie (Brown) Ostrander. Irving worked as a Salesman for many years in the Storm window and Door industry. After retirement he worked for a number of years for Enterprise Rental cars in Windsor Locks, Ct.  He was an avid camper and enjoyed driving and traveling throughout the country. He was a member of the North American Family Campers Assoc. (NAFCA) and member of the Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 club. His wife, Janet (Stoller) Ostrander predeceased him.  He leaves his children; Irving Ostrander Jr. of NC., Curtis Ostrander of NH., Henry Ostrander of Westfield, Donna Roncalli of East Longmeadow, Debra Moran of Southwick and Maryann Hoag of Virginia. Irving also leaves two siblings; Walter H. Ostrander and Millie Harrington of Shaftsbury, VT. and Ruth Beatty of Florida.  The family would like to thank the Arbors in Westfield and the Kensington unit at Care One/Redstone in East Longmeadow for the care, compassion and support shown to Irving over the last year. A graveside service will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery Friday morning (Dec. 29, 2017) at 10:00 A.M. There are no calling hours. The family has entrusted Irving's care and services with Ratell Funeral Home, Indian Orchard.
