Jeannette I. Richard1920-2015Ludlow- Jeannette I. (Bousquet) Richard, 95, of Ludlow, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield on January 18, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Alexis and Ida (Godaire) Bousquet. Jeannette was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church in Ludlow.  She worked as a caregiver for Monson State Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1986. Jeannette loved dogs and enjoyed playing cards with her friends a couple of times a week. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph H. Richard, in 2004 and her sister, Loretta Sofchak. Jeannette leaves her three sons, Kenneth A. and his significant other Pamela of Turner, ME, Gary R. and his wife Martha of Ludlow, and Russell J. and his wife Karen of Merritt, NC;  five grandchildren, Kenneth Richard, Jr., Stephanie LaPointe, Michael Richard, Jason Devine, and Jeffrey Devine; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 starting at 9am at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Elizabeth's Church, 181 Hubbard St, Ludlow. Rites of Committal will take place in Island Pond Cemetery, Center St, Ludlow. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 4-7pm.
