Jeannette Tromblay 1927-2011 SPRINGFIELFD - Jeannette Tromblay age 83 passed away peacefully on Jan 29th, 2011 at Birch Manor Nursing Home in Chicopee. Jeannette was born on December 6th, 1927 in Springfield MA. She was the daughter to the late Rhea and Nelson (Peloquin) St. Marie. Jeannette was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in E. Spfld Ma. She worked for over 50 years as a cosmetologist in her home in E. Spfld. MA. Her beloved husband Bernard Tromblay predeceased her in 2004. She leaves her sons Bernard Tromblay and his partner Patricia Harrington of Hampden, MA, Allen Tromblay of Wilbraham, and daughter Donna Panuccio and her partner Robert Drew of Agawam. Also grandchildren Jana Young of Brookline, MA, Mark and his wife Rebecca of Alexandria, VA, Michael and Ashley of Wilbraham, David of Alexandria, VA, Vincent Pannuccio of Agawam and great granddaughters Sophie and Emma Young of Brookline and Olivia Tromblay of Alexandria, VA. She also leaves her sister Helen Morneau and her husband Gerard and family of Spfld MA,, a brother Robert St. Marie and his wife Violett and family and a sister-in law Loretta St. Marie and family of Spfld. Jeannette will always be remembered as an extraordinary and caring mother who made a truly loving home for all of her family. She was dedicated to her family and especially loved all of her grandchildren. Jeanette enjoyed cooking family dinners and learning new recipes, doing needlepoint, knitting afghans and baby clothes, sewing, collecting antique dolls, and antique jewelry. She had a special talent for repairing the antique dolls and fixing their clothes and hair. Jeanette loved to dress fashionably and was never seen wearing anything but dresses and skirts her entire life. She enjoyed flower arranging and created many lovely floral centerpieces for her home. She also had a special gift of being able to play the piano by ear. Jeanette travelled extensively all over the world with her husband Bernie and spent many winter months in Clearwater, Florida with her family. Jeannette was a wonderful mother and homemaker who will always be remembered by her three children and many grandchildren as a special mom who always had a lot of love and caring in her heart. She was the best! With love from all her family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, E. Spfld. At 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. The family will receive relatives and friends at a gathering to be held at the Ratell Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 4 to7 p.m. Memorial contributions in Jeannette's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
